Again, I don't think this is a poem, just phrases that rhyme in pairs...

I want my first kiss

To be a little like this

Minty, chocolate, intoxicated

Tongues slow dancing like it's fated

I want my first kiss

To be a little like this

Arms around me after dinner he cooked

Rainy weather, like in The Notebook

Have you ever wondered

What happens in real life?

Where there's no second, third take

No editing to make it fake

Have you ever wondered

What happens in real life?

Chances of teeth knocking, lip biting

Heads banging, weird noises like you're aching

Take a step back

Face the music

No such thing as a fairytale

No need to practice on your stuffed whale

Take a deep breath

Set your mind straight

It'll be either hit or miss

Just do it like it's your last kiss!

Reflection (I had to do back then about the piece)

When people watch kissing scenes in the movies, there are usually two kinds of reactions that follow - either they cringe or they croon. This poem describes how fantasy is worlds away from reality. Although I can’t call myself experienced in the aspect, I doubt that the said act is as it seems in movies. That said, some prefer to live in their dreams, sheltered by their fragile bubble of fantasy. Well, all I can say is, "Suit yourself." Everyone can live the way they want, just that it's always better to know what's coming before it does.
