Cayenne

This website officially went live on 16 April 2020 (because 16 + 4 = 20) as an accompaniment to my Instagram account @blogbycayenne.

 

During my summer internship search in 2020, I realised I was repeatedly being asked by potential employers to provide a portfolio of my previous work. This spurred me to do up a website which can not only host my written work, but also showcase my personality. Through the website design and varied content of my writing, potential employers can get to know me before even meeting me.

Professional reasons aside, I’ve been wanting to blog for quite some time anyway (as you’ll be able to tell from the Personal Entries in my Collection of Writing), so I figured why not use this chance to go for it? Writing is my main creative outlet because it doesn’t require much effort on my part, and I can do it whenever and wherever on my laptop. I write mainly movie reviews and pop culture commentary on Instagram, so this website is meant for other types of content – basically anything else I feel like writing about.
