This was a write-up for my start-of-school orientation for one of the school's magazines, I think.

One painful thought kept running through my mind: In a few days, all will be over and life will amount to nothing but studying. It was this awareness of knowing I will never get another chance to fully let go of my worries and have fun-filled, study-free days that I was able to put in more effort into the activities than I have ever put in for leisure activities. On one hand, kudos to the people who made the right decision to put the introductory lectures before the actual orientation. On the other, a huge thank you to the orientation committee for planning such a spectacular event to initiate us into senior high. The energy around us was consistently off the charts, leaving me completely beat by the time I got back home. The execution was the smoothest running I have ever seen of a student-initiated event which goes to show the amount of effort everyone put in to make a dream into reality. At the end of my life I would have experienced numerous orientations, but the mighty Axe, though evil by nature (the person), will certainly be hailed by many for years to come (the orientation).
